Caerau Men Shed came to the rescue to honour 100yr old Victor Davies of Caerau with a presentation on Friday at CDT Victor served in the merchant navy during WW2 in treacherous conditions Victor was born in Caerau in 1918 and worked in Caerau Colliery for 30yrs after the war!
Chairman Chris Davies ( Gypo ) was delighted to make Victor a honorary member of Caerau Men Shed making him the oldest Shed member in the world!
Victor also enjoyed a ride around Caerau in a mock American Jeep designed by local resident ( Rhino )
An outstanding buffet was laid on in Victors honour at CDT by Grahame and Janice Dawe and the awsome staff
Victor and his daughter Linda thanked every one for a very memorable day
Victor left with a tear in his eye and a regimental salute!
