101 Birthday Celebrations

Although Victor couldnt attend his 101st birthday celebration a few of us were allowed to visit him at his home in Maesteg he was in good spirits I managed to get him to sing an old sea shanty with me! here are some lovely photos taken of his daughters and the shed boys by Flash he was delighted with his birthday cake he told us a few stories about his days in the Merchant Navy which he joined up as a 14yr old Caerau lad before we headed up to the party at CDT who done us proud with a super buffet also oresented were 3 homemade cakes in the 101 shape by Bernard from our friends the House Martins. a very kind gentlemen of the Royal Navy travelled all the way from Plymouth to deliver a speech in Victors honour a speech was delivered by Linda Victors daughter from The Russian Embassy thanking him for his efforts during WW2 a great day was had by all.
